When I recorded Breathe, I was inspired by Amanda Palmer's and The Flaming Lips' cover of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face". Amanda holds this note for an eternity and I thought... wow that is true vocal power. I really wanted to replicate it. In the original version of Breathe, I couldn't quite do it, so through editing power, I made it happen.

In the re-recorded version, it's really cleaned up, the Palmer note infatuation wasn't there, and I added a bit more atmospheric noise to the song and broke out the good 'ole whistle. Fun Fact: I was listening to the master of Breathe, and started whistling at the end of it, so I scrapped that version and added the whistle into the version that you hear!
