This song is a tribute to my Great-Grandma. I recorded this song a long time before any of the other songs on NIGHTMUSIC, and I hadn't really considered putting it on the album, but it found its way on there because it's one of my favorite songs I've ever written.

When I re-recorded the song, I changed some of the lyrics and made it a bit brighter and longing than the original. I really wanted to stay true to the simplicity of the piano and strings that the original had, so not much has changed here. It took me forever to record this song's vocals. Like I mentioned, getting comfortable with my voice and not hiding it behind instruments and effects was a long journey for me during the recording of this album. I'm not really a vocalist and prefer for my voice to almost become an instrument in and of itself, but I wanted the lyrics to shine in this song.
