This was one of the hardest songs I've ever written. It was also a challenge because, at the time, it was the most involved song instrumentally I'd ever produced. At the time, I think I bit off more than i could chew, because although I liked what this song turned into, it definitely scared me away from producing another fully "electronic" song. I think the missteps and mistakes show a lot when you compare both the new version and the old one.

When I re-recorded this song, I wanted to give it the drama that I always feel live in the lyrics. It's a story of two really broken people finding their way back to each other again, and I wanted to capture that in the way the song builds into this ode to a future of happiness.
